The collection includes correspondences to and from West, along with newspaper clippings, letters, and booklets.

Charles E. West (January 26, 1926 – March 10, 2023) held roles at LMU such as Professor of Religon and philosophy, Director of Admissions, Dean of Students, Assistant to the President and Acting President. He participated from 1957-1975.

He handled financial duties, such as faculty contratcs, financial aid/scholarships, and the yearly budget. The majority of his time was as Vice President to Dr. Livesay.
