LMU Music Instructor Collection
Scope and Contents
A collection of music scores, and course material used by various music instructors of the years. The material arrived in a box with no information concerning the names of the instructors or when the material was accumulated.
The collection is divided into 4 series. Series I is catalogue of the sheet music presumably in the ALLM archive. The location information in the catalogue is no longer valid as the material has been reorganized.
Series II is a collection of Civil War era music. Most is photocopied, such a the Instructor for the Drum manuscript.
Series III is miscellaneous material, again source unknown. The music compositions by H. E. Beidinger are original. He worked for the Lincoln Financial Foundation and composed music as a hobby.
Series IV is instructional music examples for students. There is no information as which music instructors contributed to this material or when these music examples were created.
