Abstract
The collection consists of the original book manuscript to "The Boys in White," published in 1870; two handwritten journals (September 10, 1862, to December 31, 1867) that records her daily field and hospital experiences during the Civil War and furnishes the basis of "The Boys in White;" a scrapbook (see accession #80-2700), consisting of poetry, clippings of war stories, certificates, and documents relating to her wartime experiences.
